Level 3-4 strategies to support targeted interventions
High quality teaching strategies, approaches and adaptations for independence should be implemented and evidenced
- personalised or small group learning to target identified areas of need, including teaching problem-solving skills or preparing resources
- support offered with transitions and to prepare for 'unusual' day's events and days outside of usual routine. This may include intermittent use of social stories, visual prompts, walk through or enhanced adult support as required in line with pupil's needs
- supporting pupil’s daily planning
- minimal assistance with personal care (dressing and hygiene). This may include intermittent use of social stories, visual prompts, walk through or enhanced adult support as required in line with pupil's needs
- use of charts, diaries, photos and video evidence to enable the pupil to see their progress in challenging areas
