Level 1-2 strategies to support high quality teaching
- ensure parents are aware of what is being done to support their pupils, and how they can support or reinforce interventions
- resources and displays that support independence including visual timetables, or photos
- use of teaching strategies that develop the independent learning of the pupil
- promotion of independence and social inclusion
- opportunities for additional experience to develop: dressing, toileting
- accessible learning areas, clearly labelled and signposted
- seating plans to support the pupil to maintain focus and good listening and which is distraction free
