What you may notice about the child
Transitions to next stage of education
- child can recognise and remember elements of routine with some prompts, for example their own place in the classroom or what happens at playtime
- child signals when they need support. For example, with toileting
Friends, relationships & community
- child is developing social skills that are mostly in line with age and stage expectations, with infrequent difficulties
- child interacts happily with adults within the family but is less willing with other adults and sometimes with peers
Independent Living
- difficulties at 46 – 60 months in independently dressing or undressing
- difficulties with self-help skills, including drinking from a cup, eating, sleeping
- delayed toilet training at home and in setting
Good Health
- child mostly communicates when they feel discomfort or the need assistance
