The aim of the session is to ensure that Governors/Trustees are aware of their accountability for the strategic overview of safeguarding in a school regarding the latest statutory requirements, and the opportunity to consider any safeguarding actions for the education setting.
The session will include an overview of the up to date legislation and statutory requirements linked to safeguarding in school, management of safeguarding and the differentiation between strategic and operational roles, the governor safeguarding training offer, and responsibilities within the self-assessment safeguarding audits.

- Academies: Governors/Trustees can attend this training at no additional cost if the school has signed up to the LCC Safeguarding In Schools Package
